STATUS: Probable
SKINNY: Officially, Bulger still is probable with a bruised right shoulder, but he threw crisply in practice Friday, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. "He's back to normal," coach Mike Martz said. "I was very concerned originally. But there's no (bad) effect. He had all the zip that he normally has."
ROTOWIRE SPIN
: Bulger was injured when he was hit from behind vs. the Seahawks, but Martz didn't know it until after the team returned to St. Louis. "I had no idea he was hurt until the next day," Martz said. "They told me Marc's got a bruise, and I said, 'He's got what?' He didn't say anything." Bulger leads the league in passing yards and is a solid start Monday, though he's up against the Buccaneers -- one of the better defenses in football.
HECTOR & VICTOR: Fantasy owners have enjoyed more bad than good from Bulger, but the pendulum could swing back against Tampa Bay. The Bucs' defense lost some talent in the offseason, but the system still works: witness Tampa's league-low 49.6 completion percentage allowed and 143.8 passing yards allowed per game. St. Louis might even run more in an obvious matchup advantage.
